In a Journal of Nursing Administration , AONL CEO Robyn Begley, DNP, RN, describes how AONL workforce initiatives seek to bolster nursing staffs and improve patient care. The organization has focused its work on reducing workplace violence; promoting workforce diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging; supporting clinician well-being; and promoting innovative care delivery models. “As nurse leaders, it is our job to support [the workforce] by creating positive practice environments where nurses can grow, thrive, be safe and stay well,” she writes in the October issue. Begley also serves as the American Hospital Association’s CNO and senior vice president of workforce.
