ACOG to issue alternative maternal vaccine recommendations
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists will recommendations on COVID-19 vaccine and other maternal immunizations in collaboration with the Vaccine Integrity Project. The ACOG says the move recognizes 鈥渢he importance of unbiased, evidence-based guidance about maternal vaccination for respiratory conditions鈥 and follows a Health and Human Services Department decision to end its recommendation that pregnant women receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The ACOG will publish recommendations for the COVID-19 vaccine, along with other maternal immunizations, at the end of the summer. (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists , 7/16/25)
