The April issue of Nurse Leader the AONL Guiding Principles on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, which the organization released earlier this year to help members promote environments where the entire health care team feels safe and supported. The article reminds readers “AONL launched the Diversity and Belonging Committee in the summer of 2020, at the height of civil unrest across our nation. The committee’s vision is to unleash the potential of a diverse and united nurse leader community.” The guidelines highlight strategies for advancing healthy practice environments, building key collaborative partnerships and integrating research, data and technology to improve patient care delivery.
