AONL announced three candidates are running for president-elect of the board. They are Stuart Downs, DNP, RN, senior vice president and system CNE, Northeast Georgia Health System, Gainesville; Simmy King, DNP, RN, chief nursing informatics and education officer, Children’s National Hospital, Washington, D.C.; and Lisbeth Votruba, MSN, RN, chief clinical officer, AvaSure, Belmont, Mich. Candidate biographies and statements are available on the webpage, as is candidate information for regions 5, 7 and 9. Voting will take place from July 28 to Aug. 12 and results will be announced Aug. 15. All members nationwide should vote for the region positions.
