In a podcast released this week, American Hospital Association President and CEO Rick Pollack  the provisions contained in the recently passed budget reconciliation bill, noting 11.8 million people will lose their current coverage. He also discussed the bill’s impact on providers, who will experience severe cuts in Medicaid revenue. “The magnitude of these cuts cannot merely be dismissed as waste, fraud and abuse,” he said. “We will continue to make the point that the cuts will negatively affect care for all Americans, not just Medicaid beneficiaries.”
